Rabat – Muslims across Germany are expected to celebrate Eid Al Fitr on March 20, 2026, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, according to the Embassy of Germany’s website.

Muslim communities across the country will gather in mosques and prayer spaces early in the morning for special Eid prayers before spending the day with family and friends.

While Eid Al Fitr is widely celebrated, it is not officially recognized as a public holiday in Germany.

Yet, the spirit of the occasion is felt nationwide, particularly in mosques, community centers, and Muslim households that host gatherings and cultural celebrations.

Islam is the second-largest religion in Germany, with an estimated 4.7 million Muslims living across the country.

As Ramadan draws to a close, anticipation builds for a day centered on gratitude, charity, and togetherness.

For millions of Muslims in Germany and around the world, Eid Al Fitr marks not only the end of a month of fasting, but also the beginning of a joyful celebration with loved ones.
