DGSN, AMDIE Partner to Strengthen Investment Security and Trust in Morocco

Casablanca – Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) have signed a partnership agreement aimed at reinforcing the security, credibility, and reliability of the country’s investment environment.

The agreement reflects a shared effort to support Morocco’s economic attractiveness by combining institutional security tools with investment facilitation mechanisms.

According to a joint statement, the partnership is built around two main pillars.

The first focuses on the use of the national trusted third-party infrastructure developed by the DGSN, enabling AMDIE to integrate the technical functionalities of Morocco’s electronic national identity card (CNIE) into its services.

Through secure digital mechanisms, AMDIE will now be able to authenticate both identity cards and their holders electronically, a move designed to better safeguard the interests of citizens and the state while improving service efficiency and reliability.

The second pillar centers on capacity building and specialized expertise sharing. Both institutions will mobilize experts to deliver targeted training programs on detecting document fraud and identity theft, as well as strengthening capabilities in combating economic and financial crime, including money laundering.

Through this new framework, the DGSN and AMDIE reaffirm their commitment to fostering a business climate built on trust, performance, and innovation — one that strengthens Morocco’s appeal to investors while protecting the Kingdom’s strategic interests.
