Rabat – Casablanca’s Stock Exchange Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Nasser Seddiqi as Chief Executive Officer.

The new CEO’s appointment will take effect on January 19, Boursenews.ma reported today.

Seddiqi is coming to his new position with over 25 experience in financial regulation, asset management, and market governance, the statement said, citing a unanimous decision to appoint him as the new CEO.

He served in several other positions, including the director of the AMMC Business Division, where he oversaw market supervision and asset management

Seddiqi has also served as a former chairman of the Futures Market Coordination Body since 2022.

Following the completion of his French State Diploma in Accounting Expertise, he began his career in Paris. Seddiq then went on to spend several years in an international audit firm, carrying out consulting assignments and audits.

He also obtained certifications in capital market development and financial regulation, including the Global Certificate Program for Regulators of Securities Market awarded by Harvard Law in partnership with IOSCO.

Over the years, he has held key positions in banking and asset management.
