Rabat – The president of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, will be in Morocco this Thursday on a visit that aims to respond to the latest developments in African football.

The visit follows the decision by CAF’s judicial bodies in the case of the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which was awarded with a 3-0 victory for Morocco. But the Senegalese Football Federation has contested the ruling, taking the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

During his visit to Rabat, Motsepe will meet Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and also with other officials. A press conference is also planned, where CAF will give additional information on the latest decisions and on other matters.

This visit comes right after Motsepe’s trip to Senegal, and is part of a tour to address the post-AFCON issues and to try to solve the dispute between the two countries.

In the end, the visit is another sign of CAF’s commitment to manage its competitions and to keep a close eye on all the developments in the continent.
