AS FAR Secures Win Over CODM as MAS Drops Points Against Kawkab

Rabat – AS FAR earned a convincing 3-0 victory against CODM in Rabat on Friday in round 14 of the Moroccan top flight. The match took place at Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium, where the home side imposed its rhythm early and never looked back.

The breakthrough came in the 25th minute when Youssef El Fahli finished off a well-worked move to put AS FAR ahead. Just before halftime, Hamza Khaba doubled the lead with a precise strike in stoppage time, giving AS FAR a comfortable cushion.

In the second half, Khalid Aït Ourkhan sealed the result in the 64th minute, confirming the hosts’ dominance and leaving CODM with little chance to respond.

This win lifts AS FAR to 22 points, placing them fifth in the table. Importantly, they still have four games in hand, which could push them higher in the standings if they win those matches.  CODM meanwhile, remains on 23 points in fourth place, but this defeat halts their recent positive run and exposes gaps against stronger opposition.

Looking ahead, AS FAR faces a busy schedule. They will meet Wydad Casablanca on Wednesday, March 4, in a rescheduled round nine match, before traveling to play Chabab Zemamra on Saturday, March 7, in round 15.

CODM will try to bounce back when they host Ittihad Tangier in their next league outing.

MAS vs Kawkab result

Kawkab Marrakech meanwhile, snatched a valuable 1-1 draw against league leaders Maghreb Fassi at Fez Stadium.

After a goalless first half, Sofiane Benjdida put MAS ahead in the 55th minute. But veteran striker Khalid Boutayeb equalized deep into stoppage time (90+2), rescuing a point for the visitors.

Even with this result, Maghreb Fassi remain top of the table on 24 points, while Kawkab sit 12th with 11 points, keeping their survival hopes alive.
