Rabat – Amine Laghidi, an international expert and president of multiple global institutions, has been awarded the Special Award of the Trieste Summit, the largest and most strategic port on the Adriatic Sea, serving as a key gateway to Central Europe and the Balkans. He is the first Moroccan, African, and Arab to receive this prestigious recognition.

In addition, Laghidi was appointed to the Summit’s Board of Advisors, acknowledging his outstanding efforts in promoting peace, sovereignty, prosperity, foreign investment, and trade among nations. During his conference at the summit, he touched upon the strategic role of Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, in Africa, the Atlantic, the Mediterranean, and the world.

This award complements a series of recent international recognitions. In recent months, Laghidi has been elevated as a distinguished member of the International Diplomatic Academy of Ludovika in Hungary, received high honors in London, delivered a widely acclaimed lecture at the Future Resilience Forum (FRF), and was nominated to the Board of Advisors of AWIEF, the prominent African women’s leadership NGO with UN advisory status.

Earlier this year, Laghidi delivered a keynote at Zaim University in Istanbul on “The Key Role of the Kingdom of Morocco in the World: Royal Diplomacy, Peace, and Prosperity,” earning special honors and symbolic recognition from the university for his work in highlighting Morocco’s global influence.

In October 2025, Professor Laghidi was elevated to the rank of honorary member of the Ludovika Diplomatic Academy, a leading institution based in Budapest and recognized as a major hub for diplomacy in Central Europe and worldwide.

The distinction acknowledges his influential role in economic and parallel diplomacy, as well as his engagement in pressing global issues, including food security, education, deradicalization, and crisis management.

The honorary membership followed Laghidi’s recent visit to Budapest, where he delivered a high-level conference on the Royal Africa-Atlantic and Sahel initiative and conducted a masterclass at the Ludovika academy, further cementing his status as a leading figure in international diplomacy.
