    Ghana’s Foreign Minister Hails Morocco as Africa’s Premier Sports Hub

    Rabat – Ghana’s Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has officially revealed a strategic partnership with Morocco to advance the sports sector and enhance its infrastructue.

    The Minister praised Morocco’s role as Africa’s sporting hub after the excellent hosting of the African Championships and making and increasing its level to higher standard.

    In a statement, Ablakwa said that Ghana is collaborating with Morocco when it comes to sports, highlighting the country’s hub for sporting activities in Africa.

    “They have invested tremendously in sporting infrastructure and we are working with them to also improve our facilities and to nurture our young talents so our co-operation with Morocco is becoming very broad, very deep and very wide,” he said.

    This partnership represents a key alliance between the countries, leveraging Morocco’s role as a rising powerhouse to revilise the ghanaian football, which includes upgrading infrastructure, nurturing youth by implementing technical exchange programs and strengthening national teams via Black stars and Black Queens.

    Morocco has a distinguished track record of hosting continental championships across all levels, culminating in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The delivery accumulated in its earned widespread international acclaim, especially towards world-class infrastructure and state-of-art stadiums, with robust security and safety protocols respecting human rights.
