Rabat – Real Madrid President Florentino Perez believes his team is capable of pulling off a comeback against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, following a 2-1 defeat at home in the first leg.

Speaking today at a ceremony in Madrid, Perez noted that 700 million people feel a sense of belonging to Real Madrid, describing this sentiment as one that transcends all borders. He added that the loyalty of the club’s fans remains its greatest strength.

“At Real Madrid, no one gives up,” Perez told the audience. “We will continue to fight until the very last moment to add more trophies to our record-breaking history.”

The first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu saw Bayern Munich snap a long winless streak in Madrid with a clinical 2-1 victory.

Despite the German side’s tactical dominance for much of the match, Kylian Mbappé managed to pull one back in the 74th minute, providing the Spanish giants with a vital lifeline.

Los Blancos will travel to Germany this Wednesday, looking to overturn the deficit and secure a spot in the semi-finals.

With Moroccan international Brahim Díaz expected to play a key role, fans in the North African country and across the globe will be watching to see if the club can pull off another historic comeback.
