    Atlas Lionesses Maintain Strong Continental Standing in Latest FIFA World Rankings

    Rabat – The Moroccan women’s national football team has achieved a remarkable rise in the latest FIFA World Rankings, indicating the continuous hard work and development within the squad.

    The Atlas Lionesses successfully climbed three spots to reach 63rd globally, a move that reinforces their steady improvement in performance and results.

    This advancement saw their total points rise to 1401.90, allowing them to surpass Zambia and move three places ahead. While Morocco remains in the fourth place among Africa’s elite, celebrating this steady improvement.  The global podium remains unchanged as Spain maintains the top spot followed by the United States in second and Germany in third.

    The Women’s national team has enjoyed a historic trajectory over the last few years, with their first-ever World Cup debut in 2023, becoming the first Arab or North African nation to qualify for the tournament. Advancing to the Round of 16, defeating higher-ranked teams like South Korea and Colombia.

    The Moroccan women’s national team has solidified its status as a global and continental force through a historic Round of 16 finish at the 2023 World Cup, a maiden WAFCON final appearance, and a record-breaking climb to 63rd in the FIFA rankings.
