Agadir – The Digital Development Agency (ADD) and the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM) signed on March 26 in Rabat a partnership and cooperation agreement aiming to accelerate the digital transformation of Morocco’s film industry.

ADD Director General Amine El Mezouaghi and CCM Director Mohamed Reda Benjelloun signed the agreement at the ADD headquarters, alongside representatives from both institutions, to strengthen collaboration and place digital innovation at the center of the national cinematographic sector.

This agreement aligns with the overall momentum of reforms under the New Development Model and the Morocco Digital 2030 vision, while also responding to the rapid expansion of digital and artificial intelligence technologies around the world.

The partnership aims to “promote the convergence of expertise, the pooling of resources, and the deployment of high-impact joint initiatives, particularly in the areas of training, digital inclusion, support for key projects, and strengthening system interoperability,” ADD said in a statement.

“It also seeks to enhance skills within the CCM ecosystem while supporting coordinated awareness and guidance efforts, all in service of a more integrated and efficient digital environment.”

A central component of the agreement is the deployment of tailored digital solutions for the film industry.

The ADD will support the CCM in implementing a modern, transparent, and dynamic information system designed to streamline administrative procedures and improve service delivery for industry stakeholders.

This system is expected to align with principles of good governance and ensure compliance with legal frameworks, particularly those governing the film sector and personal data protection.

ADD said in a statement announcing the agreement that this initiative reflects both the ADD and the CCM commitment to contribute to creating “an innovative, inclusive, and sovereign digital ecosystem, in line with national digital transformation priorities, and fully contributing to the influence and competitiveness of the Moroccan cinematographic sector.”
