Rabat – The French travel group, Voyage Privé, has named Morocco as “Best Destination 2025,” hailing the country’s strong tourism growth.

The award recognizes Morocco’s overall performance as a destination, its renewed appeal, and the effectiveness of the national tourism strategy, said Morocco’s Tourism Office (ONMT) in a statement.

Achraf Fayda, Director General of ONMT received the trophy, in recognition of coordinated, results-driven work to promote the country abroad, added the statement.

Founded in 2006, Voyage Privé is one of Europe’s leading private travel sales platforms. It specializes in high-end travel and operates across several key European markets, bringing together a community of millions of members.

ONMT says that by awarding Morocco the title of Best Destination 2025, the company signals a strong market choice based on sales performance, travel trends, and the growing interest of European travelers.

Morocco has long been a popular destination for European travelers, thanks to its geographic proximity, climate, cultural richness, and diverse landscapes.

Short flight times, strong air connectivity, and a wide range of travel experiences have made the country especially attractive to tourists from France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy.

In addition, the country’s tourism offerings, from beaches and desert tours to historic cities and mountain escapes, have made it an appealing getaway.

Morocco’s tourism sector reached new heights in 2025 as it welcomed 19.8 million visitors, a 14% increase compared to 2024.

Meanwhile, tourism revenues reached MAD 124 billion by the end of November 2025.

These numbers confirm a strong recovery and sustained growth following recent global challenges.

This growth reflects increasing confidence in Morocco as a safe, accessible, and competitive destination that is capable of meeting the evolving expectations of international travelers.
