    More Rainfall, Snow, and Strong Winds to Hit Several Provinces in Morocco

    Rabat – Morocco is expecting more rainfall, snow, and strong winds in several provinces on Wednesday.

    A new weather alert expects strong winds and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and snowfall to continue throughout Tuesday night until Wednesday.

    Snowfall of 20 to 30 centimeters above 1,500 meters is expected from Tuesday evening until Wednesday at 11 p.m. in the provinces of Azilal, Ifrane, Midelt, Boulemane, and Sefrou.

    Snowfall of 5 to 15 centimeters will be recorded during the same period in the provinces of Tinghir, Taza, Khenifra, Beni Mellal, Al Houz, Ouarzazate, Al Hoceima, and Guercif. 

    Heavy rainfall is expected from Tuesday evening to Wednesday at 12 p.m.

    Constant rainfall of 40 to 77 millimeters is expected in the provinces of Taza, Larache, Ouezzane, Tangier-Assilah, Tetouan, Fahs-Anjra, M’Diq-Fnideq, Al Hoceima, Ifrane, Kenitra, Taouantee, and Chefchaouen

    Rainfall ranging between 25 and 35 millimeters will affect the provinces of Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Benslimane, Berrechid, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouacheur, Khemisset, Raba, Sale, Skhirat, Temara, as well as Meknes.

    El Hajeb, Fez, Sefrou, Moulay Yaacoub, Khenifra, Khouribga, and Settat will experience the same level of rainfall, according to the weather alert.

    Strong winds between 75 and 85 kilometers per hour will meanwhile affect Kenes, Skhirate, Temara, Sale, Rabat, Kenitra, Taza, Moulay Yacoub, Larache, Sefrou, Fez, as well as Mielt from Tuesday night to Wednesday at 6 a.m.
