INDORE, India (AP) — England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt won the toss and opted to bat Sunday against co-hosts India in the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup.

It was a seventh consecutive loss of the toss for Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. India is on a two-match losing run, having lost to South Africa and Australia in its previous games.

The Women in Blue are currently fourth in the standings with four points from two wins.

India has made one change, opting for an extra bowler in medium pacer Renuka Singh. Batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been left out.

England is unbeaten in four games, and is third with seven points after three wins and a no-result. A win today will confirm its spot in the semi-finals. Defending champions Australia and South Africa have already qualified for the last four.

The four-time champions have made two changes with left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone and medium pacer Lauren Bell included in place of Sarah Glenn and Em Arlott.

The pitch at the Holkar Stadium should favour the batters, along with some aid to the spinners. Evening dew could play a role and aid the chasing side.
